A New Dawn Everyday!

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

Hello Again!

As I was walking in the forest this morning, at the dawn of a new day, it struck me that it has been a while since I wrote on here. Why did it strike me this morning? Well, I adopted a new habit of walking 70,000 steps per week at the start of this year and as well as giving me lots of fresh air and exercise, it provides me with a lot of time to think. I am lucky that my walks mostly take place before work in locations just as you see above.

Back to the reason for my lack of blogging over the past few months. Well, it's mainly due to the fact that I have been focusing on my new project, Webineyes, and have scaled back my Coaching Practice somewhat. But if I have learned anything in my life, it is that it is better to focus time and effort on few things in order to achieve more. However, I will still continue to coach as I guess that it has become part of my DNA now.

So, as I wrote last time, my dream was to launch a virtual conference of webinars for Eyecare Professionals world-wide. And so we did. In Autumn last year, we launched Webineyes and provided 20 Expert interactive webinars for Eyecare Professionals from 37 countries with over 1100 webinar registrations for the LIVE and ongoing Recorded Webinars. Of course, I would have wanted it to be on an even bigger scale, but you do your best and I am really happy that many people have benefited from the event both in terms of their education and their continued education professional points.

This was our event:

And this was our agenda:

Working with Presenters from many countries was a true privilege and provided me with even more of a global perspective on life. It was great to be involved with so many amazing people who were keen to do something different in order to help their chosen Professionals and it's patients.

We also had excellent feedback from our participants which really made everything worthwhile!

So, Webineyes fulfilled our values of providing accessible education in many different ways through: being Online; Simple platform to use; LIVE & Recorded; Great Value Pricing; Free for Students; and with little impact on our Climate or Environment. We loved doing it!

So, my main point in this blog is that if you really want to do something, provided you plan carefully what is possible, it is always in your hands to do it. Whether that it launching your own online conference or whatever it might may even be walking 70,000 steps per week.

I love coaching!
